Natasha Lyonne examined her future as Nicky on Orange is the New Black at the Television Critics Association summer press visit Tuesday.
The 36-year-old on-screen character opened up about season 3, which saw her character taken away to most extreme security jail in scene 3. Lyonne did not show up on whatever is left of the season, and told TV Guide she found Nicky's destiny "extremely fitting."
"I think when individuals are ruinous it has enormous results," she reflected. "What's more, I believe what's so magnificent about [the show] is that, as interesting as it seems to be, it's generally grounded by the stakes of the circumstance these characters are in."
"I absolutely don't have the foggiest idea about what's in [series creator] Jenji [Kohan's] mind," she said of her conceivable return. "Things being what they are, who knows? What's more, I could surely see a million unique parkways to go down... That is to say, I cherish this show to such an extent. I cherish everyone that I've gotten the opportunity to work with."
Lyonne has depicted Nicky since Orange is the New Black's debut in 2013. The arrangement will return for a fourth season on Netflix in 2016, and told E! News she trusts Kohan to settle on the right choice for her character.
"I thought it was shrewd to have there be a major outcome for Nicky's playing around with heroin," she said. "I believe it really is great to have significant characters endure real outcomes. Else, I think it may be a tad bit too benevolent and it loses some of its nibble."
Orange is the New Black co-stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon and Uzo Aduba. The arrangement is taking into account Piper Kerman's diary of the same name, and takes after the fictionalized Piper after she is sentenced to 15 months in a ladies' government jail.
